Mustache Monday!

McKinley the Dog (our class pet) was all ready for Mustache Monday when we arrived at school!

Our first activity: Mustache Madness!

We practiced writing the sight words that we found on our friends mustache hats!

This was a little tricky but we figured out how we can make an M using friends.
How many friends do we need to make an M?

Apples up on Top

After reading the book Ten Apples up on Top, we decided to see if we could balance apples on our heads!

It was a little tricky but we figured out if we walked very slowly we could do it!

 After that, we counted out 10 apples and glues them on top of our heads!

Science: Apple Volcanoes!!

What happens when the baking soda and vinegar touch one another?

An apple volcano! 

 We thought the volcanoes were petty cool!

 Oh, and they smelled like apple pie because we added cinnamon to the baking soda!

Yum!!

Nature Journaling

Today was our first day using our nature journals!
